Import of 750 oxygen cylinders from abroad .. Deposited immediately to 8 districts

Chief Minister MK Stalin sent 750 oxygen cylinders imported from abroad to 8 districts.As per the order of Chief Minister MK Stalin, the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIPC) is taking various steps to procure adequate oxygen equipment to cope with the current shortage of oxygen and its related equipment due to the second wave of corona outbreaks.

According to the Chief Minister’s order, SIPCOT has been importing 1,915 oxygen cylinders, 2,380 oxygen regulators, 3,250 running cylinders, 5,000 oxygen concentrators and 800 oxygen-filled cylinders from Singapore, the Middle East and Dubai, for a total of Rs 40.71 crore.

In addition, at a cost of Rs. 4.33 crore, 1,000 oxygen-free beds have been converted into oxygen-linked beds in government hospitals in Chennai by procuring and purchasing various oxygen-related devices for medical treatment.

In addition, SIPCOT has procured 2,000 oxygen cylinders from industrial units located near its industrial parks and 1,400 oxygen cylinders and regulators imported from Singapore through SIPCOT, 1,010 to Chennai District, 250 to Thoothukudi District, 230 to Sivagangai District, 17 to Villupuram District and 175 to Villupuram District. 100 for district, 100 for Krishnagiri district, 100 for Thanjavur district, 100 for Dindigul, Nilgiris Thiruvannamalai district, 100 for Cuddalore district, 95 for Tirupattur district, 75 for Dharmapuri district, 75 for Nilgiris district, 75 for Namakkal district, 75 for Nagapattinam district, 75 for Thiruvarur district. The first batch of 750 oxygen cylinders imported by the Confederation of Indian Industry will be used for Corona treatment in 125 districts, 100 in Coimbatore district, 100 in Erode district, 100 in Tiruvallur district, 100 in Kanchipuram district, 75 in Vellore district, 75 in Krishnagiri district and 75 in Tirupur district for a total of 8 districts.
