Tamilnadu Government extends Curfew till June 14: E-pass mandatory for these jobs , auto, taxi etc.

It is comforting to note that the spread of the second wave of corona epidemic in Tamil Nadu has been severe and is now declining. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, in consultation with all party legislators, medical experts and senior government officials, was advised to extend the relaxation for one more week. In this connection, the curfew has come into effect in Tamil Nadu for another week with relaxations.

Various measures are being taken by the Central and State Governments to reduce the spread of corona virus infection. Relaxations are being announced in the curfew order depending on the extent of the damage. The current curfew, which ends at 6 a.m., has been extended for another week.

The current full curfew has been extended from 7.6.2021 to 14.6.2021 at 6 am with some relaxation for a further week. It has been reported that the activities already allowed in all the districts will continue to be allowed during this curfew. Although the corona epidemic is on the decline across Tamil Nadu, it is on the rise in Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai districts.

So restrictions have been put in place with specific relaxations in those districts and curfews with specific relaxations in other districts. Control is provided with some relaxation in districts other than the specified 11 districts. Here you can see which services require e-pass.

Instructions for e-pass requirement

* Private security service companies and services including housekeeping in office, homes and apartments         (HouseKeeping) will be allowed with e-registration.

* Self-employed persons such as electricians, plumbers, computer and machine repairman and carpenters will be     allowed to work with e-registration from 6 am to 5 pm.

* Passengers in rental vehicles, taxis and autos will be allowed to go with e-registration. Also, in taxis, only three   passengers will be allowed to drive, and in autos, only two passengers will be allowed to drive.

* It has been mentioned that to travel to Nilgiris, Kodaikanal, Yercaud, Yelagiri and Courtallam areas for urgent     reasons, e-pass will be obtained from the relevant District Collectors.

The curfew has been imposed in the interest of the public to control the corona epidemic and the public has been asked to refrain from leaving their homes and gathering unnecessarily. And all the people have been asked to cooperate with the government initiative.
